This incredibly photogenic chap was at at World War II re-enactment at Cheddleton Railway. I spied him early on because he really looked the part, rather than looking like someone who was in fancy dress. I began by taking a few candid photographs of him but they were messy with other people in the shot. So I decided to chat with him. I discovered that all of the gear he was wearing was original and he was a collector. That conversation made it easier for me to later ask for permission to take a more formal portrait of him.
